The event will feature programming from prominent physicians and faculty members, fantastic social events throughout the city of Philadelphia, and immersive sessions where you can learn about life as a medical student today. Whether you've been a doctor for 50 years or 5 minutes, we know this will be an exciting and new experience for you.
When I accepted the opportunity more than a year ago to come to Philadelphia and lead the University of Pennsylvania Health System and the Perelman School of Medicine, I knew, intellectually, that I was joining one of the greatest academic medical institutions in the world. I received an even more personal perspective on the excellence of this institution in the months ahead as hundreds of alumni wrote me. Young and old, geneticists and family physicians—they all expressed a deep gratitude for the education they received at Penn Medicine, and they wished me well in my new role.
The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania would like to thank YOU and the over 2300 alumni donors who helped raise nearly $1.2 million for the Annual Fund in fiscal year 2011 (July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011). By giving back to the School year after year, our alumni help ensure that the nation's first school of medicine remains one of its finest.
